im making barbecue chicken and i need to know do i take the skin off or leavev it on

hi icee, the skin of the chicken contains most of the fat. flame barbecuing of skinless meat might leave you with rather leathery meat – hotplate cooking of marinaded skinless might be ok otherwise i’d leave the skin on.

its ok on and you can take it off after or before if you want it will be fine no matter if its bone in try boiling it in water first 15 min or so then put on grill it helps to cook throughly and keeps it juicy :)

No not unless your trying to cut fat. There is a lot of flavor in the skin and it gets nice a crispy.

for BBQ I like to leave the skin on,it will help on keeping the meat moist during cooking afterword remove it if you wish.
